The 3rd International ASSAM Islamic Union Congress, organized in Istanbul with the theme of “ASRICA Common Defense Industry Production” with the cooperation of Association of Justice Defenders Strategic Studies Center (ASSAM) and Üsküdar University has ended.

At the end of the congress, which lasted for two days and was attended by a high number of participants, the participants from abroad and Turkey visited Baykar Defense Company.

After Baykar Defense General Manager Haluk Bayraktar made a presentation, the delegation toured the company's production line and got information about the products.

Ersan Ergür, Vice President of ASSAM, evaluated the following words about the congress to the media sponsor of the congress, Savunma Sanayii Dergilik:

“The 3rd International ASSAM Islamic Union Congress, which we held for the third time this year, was very positive, with the main theme of determining the principles and procedures of defense industry cooperation among Islamic countries, with the main theme of ASRICA joint defense industry production. We saw that there was more interest and more numerous participation than in previous years. Participants from 41 countries came to this congress and a total of 47 declarations (local and foreign) were presented from 41 different countries. A total of 57 academicians presented these 47 declarations. The participation of the people, the people of Istanbul, those coming from various different cities of Turkey, and the interest and support in their participation was also high. What made the biggest impact on this congress was: The defense industry really emerged as an element that enabled a national spirit to take action on Muslims all over the world. There was a great interest of our people in the booths opened by Makine Kimya and TAI. Therefore, very intense and clear messages regarding the joint defense industry production came to Muslims around the world.

Our joint declarations will be prepared in the form of a final declaration together with a scientific committee to be held next week, and this final declaration will be published as a booklet. At the end of our congress, that is, after the presentations and the declarations sessions, a one-hour session was held, and a joint exchange of ideas was held with the academicians who presented declarations in this session. With the results that emerged in line with these ideas, a declaration will emerge with the evaluation made by our scientific committee. We will have published this declaration after the meeting next week, probably 15 days later.”
